For centuries, seafarers entrusted their lives to the stars—and most of all, to one: Mary, Stella Maris, the Star of the Sea. This ancient Marian title dates back to at least the 5th century, where Church Fathers and early hymns invoked her under this name as a guiding light across dangerous waters. In medieval times, sailors painted her on their ships’ prows, lit votive lamps to her in coastal chapels, and called on her in storms.

This design is a tribute to that enduring hope. Inspired by stained glass windows found in coastal chapels and seafaring towns, the piece features seafoam colors for the background, a golden anchor to symbolize Christ, and rich, intentionally symmetrical blue waves to represent the storms of life, and how they're necessary to our growth and salvation. 

The hoodie itself is a midweight, durable cotton polyester blend, making it warm, cozy, and long lasting.
